His Terminally Ill Son Wanted One Final Wish. A Star Wars-Themed Funeral

Terence and Marie Robinson of Hampshire, England fulfilled their son’s final wish, but no one had wanted it to come true. Four-year old Jack Robinson battle bravely against an inoperable brain tumor since January. His final wish, if it came to that, was to have a Star Wars-themed funeral. He sadly lost his fight and the Robinsons set out to fulfill Jack’s wish.

Crowds of family and friends, including Jack’s identical twin brother Liam and three older sisters, walked with the horse-drawn coffin.

Stormtroopers escorted Jack through the streets of Hampshire.

Floral wreaths in the shape of a lighstaber, R2-D2 and Yoda adorned the horse-drawn carts. One read ‘Jedi’.

A brass band played Luke Skyewalker’s theme inside the church. The service read ‘Master Jack Robinson, joined the force 1st April 2014’.

After the service, Jack’s dad summed up the day:

Jack was a special boy, he was unique and brought everyone together.

We needed to give him a unique send off, and the brilliant sunshine that came out for it was Jack looking down on us.

I will always love you son.
