Spielberg to produce Yomigaeri: Resurrection

/ /

Steven Spielberg’s studio, Dreamworks, has gone on a spending spree for Asian movies. Last month, they bought Ghost in the Shell. They’ve also produced The Ring, The Ring 2 and next year’s remake of A Tale of Two Sisters. Recently, Steven Spielberg also picked up Yomigaeri, the Japanese sci-fi/horror film from 2003. This Japanese Academy Award winner tells the story of:

a government official who is sent to a rural town to investigate a child who, after vanishing for 60 years, returns to his mother not having aged at all.

Furthermore,

the world has become intensively information oriented and humans are well-connected to the network. Crime has developed into a sophisticated stage by hacking into the interactive network. To prevent this, Section 9 is formed. These are cyborgs with incredible strengths and abilities that can access any network on Earth.

Beautiful. Steven, I combined the plots of Ghost in the Shell and Yomigaeri and just wrote your next big blockbuster.
