R.I.P. Miyuki Kanbe 1984-2008

The above commercial stars Miyuki Kanbe. Not quite sure the product or message. I was going to guess mental hospital. Or a very warped hostage video. Whatever the case, we all realize that an immense talent will be missed. Miyuki died June 18th of heart failure. It took me a couple of weeks to process this information and only now am I able to express my thoughts. As with all of you readers, I wonder the same question. Why must God take the pretty ones?

Tokyograph sums up Miyuki’s career:

One of Kanbe’s best known roles was as Usagi Tsukino in the “Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon” musicals from 2000 to 2001. She was the third actress to play that part. Her other works include “Battle Royale II” and the “Kamen Rider Hibiki” series. Aside from acting, Kanbe was also active in variety shows, commercials, and photobooks.

Tokyograph says her heart just up and quit on her. So sad. At least Miyuki was surrounded by family and friends. Deathbed conversations are tough and no doubt, Miyuki’s weren’t any different. “Papa, I’m scared…”

“Don’t worry dear Miyuki. You will reunite with God and He will watch over you for eternity.”

“But..but..I’m Buddhist!!”

Oh snap! No, he din’t!

Anyway, video of Miyuki in Sailor Moon musical after the cut. Ask yourself why Dracula is in the musical.
