More “Kung Fu Panda” news

The Korea Herald has an interview with Jhun Yong-duk. Jhun retains title of head of layout at Dreamworks and oversaw the animation of Kung Fu Panda. In brief, Jhun graduated from the University of Seoul and subsequently, the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York. Notable alumni from SVA include Bryan Singer (director of The Usual Suspects), Jared Leto and Gerald Way of My Chemical Romance.

Jhun encountered some speed bumps along the way, bouncing from New York to Chicago to New Jersey. Finally, a meeting with Jeffrey Katzenberg of Dreamworks turned into his current gig for Kung Fu Panda. Now that the panda movie’s wrapped up, he’ll work on Shrek 4. Jhun describes Shrek 4:

“The new Shrek film is being produced as a three-dimensional feature that will require audiences to use stereoscopes, so it will come as a very new movie,” he said.

Shrek 4 will also have another cool feature. Humor. Yes, this one will actually be funny. Something not seen since 2001 when the first Shrek came out.
