Miss Korea 2007 sets sights on Miss Universe 2008

World look out! Miss Korea 2007, Lee Ji-seon, is headed to the Miss Universe 2008 competition. For some reason, lots of beauty pageant contestants aren’t that great looking. Miss Korea, on the other hand, is the shizznit. Must be all that plastic surgery. English.chosun.com reports:

“A beauty in Korea is generally considered someone who looks pretty, gentle and cute [like Pokemon],” Lee said. “But the Miss Universe pageant tends to prefer dignified, self-assertive beauties [dominatrices] with a mature rather than girlish image.”

Knowing that, Lee has begun a strict, systematic training regimen [bulimia] under the tutelage of renowned French beauty pageant trainer Ines Ligrin [sic], who helped Japan’s Riyo Mori capture the Miss Universe 2007 title.

Did some research. Ines Ligron is to beauty pageants what Butch Harmon is to golf. She’s produced three top 5 finishes in the Miss Universe pageant within a span of four years beginning with Miyako Miyazaki finishing 5th in 2003, Kurara Chibana finishing 2006 Miss Universe 1st Runner-Up, and Riyo Mori, Miss Universe 2007.

Stressing that Miss Universe puts inner beauty above all else, the French trainer talked about how she worked with Lee for the contest. When she first saw Lee, Ligrin thought she was too skinny, so she asked her to gain 5 kg. She also had Lee ride a bicycle to build her muscles — to the point where Lee was working so hard that people around them said it seemed like they were training for the Olympics.

Inner beauty you say. It’s a beauty pageant. There’s the swimsuit competition and maybe, just maybe, the evening gown competition. If I have to listen to a contestant play piano, she better be doing it naked.
