Chris Yeo, famous chef and operator of the Straits chain, has joined forces with Ludacris to bring us Straits Atlanta, Singaporean food with a Southern flair. Too bad you have to travel to Hotlanta to get some. Their new restaurant opens on April 25th. Sounds like Luda is more of a silent partner and Chris brings the chicken lollipops (Luda’s fav, his words, not mine) and watermelon martinis. Hold on though, if you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area, you are in luck. Or so you would think. The restaurant doesn’t get great reviews. In fact, it’s solidly mediocre.

Props to Luda though. If you read his bio and look at his career, he’s diversifying in addition to the rap game. He’s got real estate holdings, an acting career and now this restaurant. Not surprising given that he was a business major. Thank you Lord. Another rapper who’s not interested in making it rain.
