John Woo’s “Red Cliff” to premiere at Cannes Film Festival

/ /

Ever imagined what Rob Roy would look like with Asians? Imagine no more. John Woo will bring his latest film, Red Cliff, to the Cannes Film Festival on May 17th. Alas, it will not be the whole film, but a special 10 minute trailer. Expect lots of swords clashing, horses galloping and proclamations proclaimed. Filming sounded like a hassle. Lead actor, Hu Jun, tells CCTV.com:

“We spent about three seasons shooting that part. The director and producer were impressed by Zhao Yun [lead character in the movie], and added weight to the role. We started in the spring and filmed through summer and fall.”

Three seasons. What a novel way to express 9 months. Kinda like saying, I impregnated her three seasons ago and now she won’t even let me touch her. Alas, I am left to masturbate for the next two phase cycles of the moon.
