Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker to team up again

/

According to MTV Movies Blog, Jackie and Chris will partner in yet another movie. Jackie says,

“It’s like two days ago when Chris Tucker called me…We sat down and decided we want to do another movie. Not a ‘Rush Hour’ — something new.”

“I said yes, and after I shook [Tucker’s] hand, I said: ‘Look, we need a middleman. I don’t want to shake hands, then I go back to Hong Kong and you stay here, I get busy and you get busy,’ ” he recalled. “You have to have somebody in the middle to follow up, otherwise it will never happen.

“We’ve just agreed to do it,” he added. “Now we’re looking for the writer.”

Good news for all of us. Put that Rush Hour franchise to rest. If you aren’t going to come up with some new concepts, don’t rely on tired old jokes. And what’s up with Chris Tucker? He’s been in three movies the past ten years and has one in production right now. Is he still counting his $20 million payday from Rush Hour 3? Please do not pay this guy $20 million for another movie. He’ll just break out his same tired schtick. The old bug-eyed, whatchoo talkin’ bout Willis routine. What a hack.
