Gamblerz Crew of Korea wins 2008 B-Boy Masters Championships
Korea recently hosted the R-16 B-Boy Championships in Korea. From KBS:
R-16 Korea Sparkling Gyeonggi 2008, sponsored by Gyeonggi Province and the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), was a global b-boying championship where over 300 artists, musicians, content creators, promoters, producers and b-boys from around the world gathered in Korea in an attempt to provide the proper inspiration needed to advance people’s life.
Gamblerz Crew beat out Top 9 from Russia. Rivers Crew of Korea, last year’s champions, took 4th place. Korea is a hotbed for b-boying and thanks to the KTO, the word will get out about the talent level over there. Hopefully, MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew goes international for its 3rd season and some of the great international talent gets exposure. Unfortunately, no crew wants someone whose talent begins with the Roger Rabbit and ends with the Running Man. I guess that someone will stick to writing for the Smatterist.
