John Woo’s epic movie, Red Cliff, received its coming out party at the recent Cannes Film Festival. A special nine minute promo was screened. They would’ve shown the whole movie, if only it wasn’t four hours long. Trust me, no butt should sit in a theater seat for that long. Ever. Anyway, some sly filmgoer surreptitiously filmed the promo and voila, now it’s on the intertube. Luckily, the video isn’t ruined by anyone eating popcorn or standing up in front of the camera.

Takeshi Kanehiro, Tony Leung, Zhao Wei and Lin Chi-Ling star in this $80 million movie. That’s what you call an all-star cast. Still no American distributor, but if the studios can release classics like Speed Racer and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, then certainly they can find a spot for this movie.
