A Touchdown Run Shows Sportsmanship Knows No Boundaries

8-year old Gabe White made the most memorable touchdown run of the season for Rhinelander, Wisconsin’s high school JV football team. The opposing team’s coach, Mark Apfel, had his team come out for a special “5th quarter” and told the kids not to tackle Gabe after the kickoff. Gabe, who has Down Syndrome, donned football gear and took the kickoff coast to coast for an amazing score.

They did as told and when all was said and done, everyone on that field remembered what sportsmanship and sports really meant.
